Special guest supports for all three concerts will be local roots legend Midge Marsden and blues sensation Hammond Gamble (solo).

MARCH 2007 Honorary Degree Awarded
Raglan-based music legend Midge Marsden has been presented with an honorary Master of Arts (Music). The degree was conferred by Wintec chair Gordon Chesterman at a graduation ceremony in March. Marsden, who has performed with legendary musicians such as Eric Clapton and BB King, was voted New Zealand's Entertainer of the Year in 1990. He has fostered many Waikato musicians and was a guest tutor at Wintec in 2006. He hopes to return to Wintec to teach and is plans to hold public classes. He said he was "overwhelmed" by the award.
After the ceremony, Marsden performed a dynamic rendition of 'Old Time Rock 'n' Roll' wearing full academic regalia, accompanied by Media Arts music tutors David Sidwell, Rik Bernards and Brad Morgan.
